Choosing the sunrise hike to the Natural Pool is a commitment to a very early wake up call on vacation, but it's a totally unique and memorable experience that we really enjoyed.
Rob is a great tour guide. He was deeply knowledgeable about all the plants and animals and was very receptive to make sure we were doing ok throughout. When we told him that we are interested in birds, he made sure to point out all the local birds he spotted and even pulled out his phone to show us some others that we might see on our trip. He also had some great local restaurant recommendations!
The hike itself is mostly flat and we didn't find it be too taxing. We wore sneakers but wouldn't have been out of place in hiking boots on the rocky terrain. Out of the 3+ hours we spent in the park, we only saw 2 other people.
Having the whole Natural Pool to ourselves was the highlight. It's like swimming in an aquarium. We even saw an octopus walking around, which Rob was thoughtful enough to dive down with our camera to get a few close up pictures of. Note that there is nowhere to change clothes once you're at the pool, so you might want to wear your swimsuit under your hiking clothes.
We found this tour company to be very responsive and trustworthy and would absolutely use them again.
